00:00Vivid Sydney is back for 2026, with the Harbour City once again lighting up in a spectacular explosion of colour,
00:09art and technology.
00:10Running from May 22nd to June 13th, this year's festival will transform Sydney with massive light installations,
00:19interactive experiences, live music, food events and immersive projections spread across Circular Quay, The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and the
00:31CBD.
00:33Among the standout attractions is The Fringe of Infinity, a hypnotic geometric projection by Spanish artist Javier Riera,
00:42while The Prism, originally created for Burning Man, offers festival goers a glowing LED dome designed as a tranquil escape
00:51from the crowds.
00:52You don't ever get the same view because the colours are always changing, depending on the angle and the light
00:59intensity on it.
01:00I remember when we were at Burning Man, setting it up in a dust storm in the desert, blowing dust,
01:06and can barely see, with masks on and goggles, and we're on scaffolding, welding pieces together that we hadn't brought
01:13or something.
01:15So, you know, it's quite surreal and we're super stoked and happy to be here and grateful for the opportunity.
01:23Another major drawcard is Pendulum, a giant swinging light installation inspired by Newton's laws of motion,
01:31suspended above visitors at Hickson Road Reserve.
