00:38:53And Chris Benoit has the opportunity to put on the clinic again in two nights.

00:39:03against a man who early on tonight, John, was extremely confident with some remarks, and that's MVP.

00:42:19And if there is a counter to be found, Benoit will find it like he did there.

00:42:28We've seen MVP on a number of occasions, unlike anybody else,
00:42:32be able to counter Chris Benoit seemingly at every move.
00:42:35Why is that?
00:42:36Because he studied tape.
00:42:39What MVP has done has studied Benoit extensively.
00:42:43You've seen him get better each and every week.
00:42:46The gentrification of MVP has been amazing.
00:42:49But get this, Michael, through all of that, as good as he's been,
00:42:53Benoit has always pulled something out at the very end and beat him.
00:43:01The question, though, Michael, in 48 hours, is MVP gonna improve as much as he did from
00:43:06WrestleMania to Backlash to Judgment Day?
00:43:09If he improves that much again, MVP could walk out the new United States champion.
00:43:15John, he could, and I agree with you there.
00:43:17But the problem that MVP is facing is even if he improves over Backlash,
00:43:21he still has to beat Benoit twice.
00:43:23It's two out of three falls.
00:43:24So he can't just, you know, pick up a quick victory over Benoit.
00:43:27He's got to beat him twice, and he's got to beat him two out of three in that matchup
00:43:31to win the title.
00:43:32I don't think he can do it.

00:44:29that hip area that was slammed into the steel steps moments ago.
00:44:32And that is the thing about Finley.
00:44:34When Finley targets the body part that's injured, he's extremely dangerous.
00:44:37Among the best of the game, that targeting and injury, and then putting hurt to it.
00:44:45And Finley just twists that knee and that ankle and foot.
00:44:51Look at this, Michael.
00:44:53Yes, you look at the reverse of Benoit.
00:44:55Every time Finley puts Benoit on hold, he grabs for anything that's open on Finley.
00:45:01And he finally does the smart thing, he goes to the ropes, he's thinking the entire time.
00:45:06You ask if a match like this could hurt him, something like this could hurt him.
00:45:11You get an injured will like that, and you have to go out there against MVP,
00:45:15and you're going two out of three, which could be half an hour or more.
00:45:19The last thing you want is an injury that's going to handicap you.
