The Senate unanimously approved on third and final reading Senate Bill No. 1894, a proposed measure seeking to further strengthen Republic Act No. 10931 or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act.

With a 21-0 vote, lawmakers pushed for broader and more sustainable assistance for financially challenged students enrolled in state universities, colleges, and technical-vocational institutions, in a bid to make higher education more accessible to Filipinos.
