00:00But the people, Joe, they're all for the World Cup,
00:02even if we're ripping off everybody for this World Cup here.
00:06Yeah, no, well, yeah, good luck trying to go and get a ticket
00:10to one of these games in the upcoming World Cup.
00:13But, yes, it's growing in popularity.
00:17We're getting a little bit closer to the World Cup
00:21showing up here on our shores, and I think it's going to be crazy.
00:24I'm looking very forward to seeing some of these matches.
00:28The favorites to win the World Cup here lift that trophy.
00:31It's actually France at a 19.3% right now,
00:35followed closely by Spain at 16.3%.
00:37And then I scroll, Joe, all the way down and see a team at 1.7%.
00:43That is Team USA.
00:45A $100 investment on them would pay back over $5,800.
00:49But the favorites here, Joe, France and España.
00:54Yeah, I mean, listen, there's a—I know some—I talked to some guys over the last couple of weeks
01:00that think maybe, you know, can't sleep on Brazil, can't sleep, you know, on Argentina.
01:06There are a few nations, Donnie, I think are going to make it very interesting.
01:12Also, I don't know anybody that's backing the U.S. here as a possible run it and win it all.
01:19But usually it becomes very chalky.
01:22And this is all about, Donnie, who's got the easier path?
01:26When you're looking at markets like this, you've got to consider the group stages.
01:30Where are they going from here?
01:32Because, like we talked about it in the NHL with the Vegas Knights,
01:36their path to a Western Conference final, much easier than the favorite, Colorado.
01:41And I think you've got the same logic applying here if you're trying to figure out
01:46who's got the best shot at actually winning this.
01:48It's whoever has likely the easiest path to get there.
01:53How about this?
01:53Is it coming home to England here?
01:55The Tree Lions, 11.3%.
01:57If you feel England finally gets it done, $100 investment will pay back $885.
02:03How about the World Cup final qualifiers?
02:05Don't need to win this, Joe.
02:07You just have to appear in that final there at MetLife.
02:10And good luck if you can get there and you're paying hundreds of dollars
02:12in train tickets here.
02:14You get the picture.
02:15France, though, the favorite, Joe, 28%.
02:17Followed by England at 23%.
02:19And Brazil and Argentina, neck and neck at 21% and 20% respectively.
02:25Yeah, and keep in mind, too, FIFA did an interesting thing because they structured
02:29the bracket pathway so that the two highest ranking teams, let's say like France
02:34and Spain, they can't meet until the final if they win their respective group.
02:39So they don't want like what the NHL is doing now is have the best matchups here
02:44in the first and second round of the early going.
02:47So, yeah, I do think this is going to end up being a little chalky.
02:53And it would not shock me if England actually gets it done here, Donnie.
02:58I think it's actually a pretty good price.
03:003% for the U.S. here currently trading, Joe.
03:03A $100 investment will pay back $3,334.
03:08Let's take a look at the World Cup semifinal qualifiers, which means we take it down
03:12another tier here, which means some of these numbers will increase on chances like Spain
03:17at 48%, France 39%, England 38% here, Argentina at 34%.
03:23So looking to get into that final four grouping, Joe, still sits the big boys up here.
03:28You're going to pay a little bit more of a price for that.
03:29But again, don't need to get to the final or even win the World Cup to cash in on the
03:33Calci marketplace.
03:35Again, this is all about path to me, Donnie.
03:38And the last defending champion, I believe, Argentina, right?
03:42Group J might have exactly the easiest route to get back there, Donnie.
03:47I mean, they'll face Austria, Algeria, and Jordan.
03:51And they are going to be a heavy favorite to win all of those matches and any of those
03:56matches big time.
03:57So I think that's going to be interesting because they're going to avoid on that side
04:02of the bracket, France or England until the very late stages.
04:06I think Argentina can get there in a heartbeat.
04:09How about this?
04:10World Cup Group D winner, which is not actually the group of death here, but that's where
04:14Team USA is playing.
04:15USA, Turkey, Paraguay, and Australia.
04:18And U.S. is favored.
04:20Had a 40% chance to move on and win that group, followed by Turkey at 36%, Joe.
04:26But as you know, it doesn't always be roses here, Joe.
04:29You can take no contracts out.
04:30If you take a no contract on USA winning the group, that would pay back 164.
04:36Or, Joe, are you confident that Team USA can actually win Group D in advance?
04:41Yeah.
04:42Well, listen, anything is possible.
04:43I got to tell you, if they did, Donnie, and if they can actually pull it off, it's going
04:48to be very interesting to see if we get a lot of new soccer fans in this country here.
04:53But the bottom line is, it's a tough road for them in a big, big way here.
04:58All of those games are going to be tough for them.
05:01By the way, isn't it good for business here to push Team USA along here since they are
05:05technically hosting the Cup?
05:06We'll find out this summer.
05:07But that'll do it for PME on TEL.
05:10Hope you had some fun today on a Tuesday.
05:11Enjoy your afternoon.
05:12We'll see you tomorrow.
