00:01Hello you beautiful people.
00:02Alright.
00:03How the hell are ya?
00:04Wow!
00:05Welcome!
00:07For the very first time we get to say this and this is exciting for us because I think
00:10this is the greatest partnership in the history of partnerships between K-Rock and In-N-Out.
00:15Welcome to the In-N-Out Burger sound space at K-Rock.
00:19It only makes sense.
00:20In-N-Out's been making incredible burgers for decades and K-Rock has been putting out
00:25great music for decades so it's a partnership that we are happy about, we are thrilled about,
00:29and of course we're kicking it off with an incredible band.
00:33Who's ready for some bleachers, huh?
00:35Yeah.
00:36So here's how it's gonna work.
00:38We're gonna chat with Jack for a little bit and it's always fascinating.
00:41He was recently on our radio show which he called the most riveting hour of radio we've ever put on.
00:45I think he was lying.
00:46But he's not wrong.
00:47And then we're gonna of course bring the band out and we're gonna listen to some new music
00:50and of course some bleachers and that's gonna be very exciting.
00:52And then you guys will get to hear all of this as it airs on K-Rock Sunday night at
00:579pm.
00:57So you guys will all get to be radio stars and look how it's changed our lives.
01:03So don't fuck it up.
01:05Alright everybody, let's bring out Jack Antonoff.
01:08The great Jack Antonoff.
01:15Hi Jack.
01:15Keep it going for Jack Antonoff.
01:21Hey.
01:25Hey there.
01:26Congratulations.
01:27A new album.
01:28Let's go.
01:29We'll celebrate everything and we got a lot to talk about.
01:31And as you know, we have no shortage of things to discuss, including our mutual love of Wawa.
01:35But let's begin with this.
01:38Fifth Bleacher's album.
01:39Any traditions?
01:40Anything exciting that you do?
01:42Superstitions before the album officially hits the public May 22nd?
01:46I listen to every album I made like a few days before.
01:50I think I know a lot of people who do that and it's nice.
01:53In order for a song to last song every album you've made?
01:56Yeah.
01:56What do you mean?
01:57I don't know.
01:58Maybe you put on shuffle.
02:01You don't shuffle Jack?
02:02No.
02:03I really don't shuffle actually.
02:05You make a point to listen to every album from start to finish.
02:07I listen to every album and then I'll listen to the new one and then I'll feel really like in
02:14touch with the journey.
02:15Does anything come up when you reach, you know, the new album that, you know, once you listen to everything
02:24that you just listened to changes your perspective on the new one?
02:28Like anything you would want to change?
02:30No, I don't think like that.
02:31I don't ever want to change anything.
02:34Must be nice to be talented like you.
02:36We have lots of regrets all the time.
02:37Just constant regrets.
02:39No, I'm filled with regrets in other ways.
02:42But not with the music.
02:44I think that's why I stay in the studio and stay on tours.
02:47That's like the one place where I really, like for lack of a better word, like feel myself.
02:54And so, but everywhere else is really complicated.
02:58There's food, I think all the time.
02:59Like I don't know what I want to eat and then I go somewhere and then I regret it and
03:03then I want to go somewhere, you know.
03:05You guys understand that right?
03:07Yeah.
03:07That's real.
03:08The song that you performed on Kimmel last night, which is called The Van.
03:12So, it's a great song by the way.
03:14Hopefully we hear that today.
03:15Ali and I have been fighting this fight against, you know, most of the news about vans in the history
03:19of our lives.
03:20It's all bad.
03:21It's one of the first things I learned as a kid.
03:22Avoid vans, avoid van drivers.
03:22Kidnapping.
03:23My whole life growing up was stay away from the van.
03:26Avoid vans.
03:26Yeah.
03:27And we have been fighting, we do a thing on our show called Good Van News where we try to
03:30profile any stories involving vans that are good.
03:32This song, I think, could be the official anthem that turns around the entire public perception of vans.
03:37Well, when we would tour and we'd be in the van, we'd see other vans and we'd either go, we'd
03:41hope it was another band, but it was often a church group.
03:45Right.
03:46Or just a sketch ball.
03:48Yeah.
03:49Those are the three options pretty much.
03:50I think that's better.
03:51I think that with GPS and whatnot, there's a lot less, you know, when I was growing up, my mom
03:58had it in my head that like anywhere I went, there would be like six to 15 vans waiting to
04:03take me.
04:04So I was terrified.
04:05They're all just waiting with candy.
04:06When we like got out at the rest stop, it would be like, go, go.
04:10I thought someone was, which is a bit arrogant that anyone would want to take me.
04:14You were that popular as a kid.
04:15Right.
04:15But also I think back then, I don't know if it was the same for you, my parents just didn't
04:20know where I was a lot of the time.
04:22So just a, hey, watch out for vans on the way out, I think was their only way of protecting
04:27us.
04:27The whole van thing from when I was growing up really like makes me feel like a big premium was
04:33put on like candy and gifts.
04:36Like there was no age where any stranger could get me to do anything personally.
04:41Cause I just didn't want to be around.
04:42You didn't want those things.
04:43So maybe that's something.
04:44Yeah.
04:45But I, but I, I, this archetype of like candy was so like, I don't know.
04:48I was always being told there was like candy and vans and a stay away.
04:51Now there's so much better shit out there to bribe people with.
04:54I think.
04:55That's a creepy comment, Allie.
04:56No.
04:57Keep track of the creepy comments today.
04:58I'm not saying I have experience.
04:59That never crossed my mind.
05:01But it's interesting cause.
05:03Allie's like, there's nicer vans.
05:04They're more welcoming.
05:05Yeah.
05:06We have things.
05:06We get the people in.
05:08I feel like this interview just became evidence.
05:10Yeah.
05:10In a future trial.
05:12Let's talk about one lyric that has been popping out at me.
05:15And I think also has been just something that's been popping up since the album got announced.
05:20Only my people can see me.
05:22This idea, you know, where you have your people and they are the only ones who can truly see you.
05:28But as long as you've been in this industry, how do you find your people in an industry
05:33where there can be a lot of misrepresentation of people, leeches, people who are inauthentic,
05:38et cetera?
05:40People in vans trying to take you.
05:43Maybe there's some creeps out there.
05:45Radio people who have a van.
05:46Sure.
05:50To do what, to not follow anyone else.
05:53You know, when the band started, the first song I put out was I Want to Get Better.
05:56And it was really intentional because I thought to myself, like, I don't want anyone having
06:00misgivings about who I am or where this thing is going.
06:04So, you know, because I remember at the time, everyone was like, oh, we should put out, like,
06:08Roller Coaster first.
06:09You know, it's such a catchy song.
06:11And I was like, I love that song.
06:12But, like, there's this other song I wrote.
06:16And I wanted to, like, I remember telling this to everyone.
06:18And I want to, like, sift out anyone who's not going to get it.
06:21Which they thought was, like, maybe a problem.
06:24But it's nice to just come forward as who you are.
06:28And then you're just on a journey and a conversation with your people.
06:32And it goes this way and it goes that way.
06:34But I'm not ever taking my eye off of them.
06:38And it sounds reductive.
06:39But if you just do the things that you love and are really authentic about what you do,
06:43it's hard to lose sleep at night.
06:45But there's a lot of forces trying to push people this way and that way more than ever.
06:49So I think it must be really hard to be starting out and have so many fucking opinions, you know,
06:54hurled at you.
06:55And no one knows what to do, you know.
06:58Music, it's completely magic and about a feeling.
07:01You can't put a group of people together and it'll just equal the sum of their parts.
07:06It's all fucked up, you know.
07:07Like, the greatest artist in the world might not be able to make something as good as some fucking random
07:13kid in Kansas tomorrow.
07:14So that's, like, the fun of it.
07:15And I think a lot of people are trying to take the fun out of it out and mass produce
07:19it and package it and find all these ways.
07:21And then they keep dying.
07:22And then we're just left with good music or not good music.
07:25So I try to just stay there and not get too angry while I'm on the circle.
07:28But I think everyone feels that way.
07:30Exhausted of being marketed towards too much.
07:33Exhausted of being kicked into, like, an algorithmic position.
07:37You feel me?
07:38Yeah, I hear you.
07:39I got deep.
07:40Everyone for 10 minutes comes out pretty much a month from tomorrow.
07:43And how do you picture people listening to this album?
07:46Oh, my God, you're right.
07:46How do you picture a person that wants to listen to this the way you would listen to it?
07:50Is it driving around the streets of Southern California?
07:53Is it pumping their own gas or trying to in Jersey even though they can't?
07:56I mean, it's kind of anywhere.
07:57You know, it never ceases to amaze me, you know, the songs that are really sad or deep for me
08:03or joyful for someone else or vice versa.
08:05So I don't have, you know, like, I'm always somewhere when I'm writing, like, you know, like, you and forever
08:11to me is so, like, nighttime with headphones in, like, walking.
08:15Dirty wedding dress is so, like, driving or with people.
08:19But it's kind of, like, all I can do is, like, telegraph it how I feel it and then people
08:23take it in all different ways.
08:24And that's cool with me, like, that's part of it is, like, oh, you guys think that's a song to
08:29listen to with friends at a party?
08:32Like, great.
08:33That's so interesting.
08:34And that continuum is with me, too.
08:37You know, when I meet people whose music I love, I'm like, oh, I love that record.
08:40And they're like, you do?
08:41Like, yeah, you know, my life was falling apart.
08:44But we take things differently.
08:46And the truth is some of the most sad or hopeful or whatever it is work, if the honesty hits
08:52you, then it just feels good.
08:53Even if it's dark material.
08:55When you're doing a tour as well on top of the album, and it's a very eclectic group of venues
09:00that you've put together.
09:02You've got big venues like Madison Square.
09:04Yeah, sorry, I'll tell you what I was thinking.
09:07Did you get a ticket?
09:08All right.
09:09Sorry.
09:10I'll explain.
09:12That was wild.
09:14You just got scolded.
09:17Well, I'll answer, I think, well, what was your question?
09:20And then I'll apologize to people.
09:21Why only five shows at the Troubadour?
09:22What the hell's wrong with you?
09:22Well, it's tough because, you know, at one, yeah, like, I don't want our tours to ever feel like we're
09:30just, like, bussing a circus from venue to venue.
09:33You know?
09:33And it'll never feel like that because that's not how we play.
09:35But there's just something about different spaces that just moves you in a different way, you know?
09:39Like, I feel the band is really lucky, right?
09:42We've got, you know, I've spent my whole life playing fucking anywhere.
09:45Playing in people's garages here, whatever it is.
09:47Because now we're at the point where we can choose where we play.
09:49So why not play the best venues in the world?
09:51So my thought process was like, fuck yeah.
09:53How cool that we can play Madison Square Garden and we can play Red Rocks and we can play here.
09:56What do we do in L.A.?
09:57And it's like, what if we just, you know, shocked the system and played five shows at the Troubadour without
10:04any of our production?
10:05And God, I don't even know what the fuck we're going to do with those shows yet.
10:08And that's exciting to me.
10:09I don't want to, I just always want to make every night feel like the last night on earth.
10:16So, to everyone here, I'm really sorry who, people who couldn't get tickets, but I promise we'll come back.
10:24And I promise also, yeah, it's really tough.
10:29It really is hard.
10:30You want everyone to see the show, but you also want to do interesting stuff.
10:33And you want to make the tickets as affordable as you can and that's a very hard thing to do
10:38these days.
10:39And I wonder what your thoughts were about this, you know, this big announcement or the court, you know, decided
10:45that Ticketmaster is a monopoly and is that going to change?
10:48Oh, did they?
10:48They did.
10:50They must have had some real geniuses up there.
10:52And I'm like, wow.
10:53The same company?
10:55Selling the tickets and promoting the show is a monopoly?
10:57But do you think it's really even going to change anything?
11:00What?
11:00You know, if people are charging, you know, all these crazy fees and thousands of dollars and regular people who
11:09just are trying to fucking get by are all of a sudden trained by big corporations to spend four or
11:13five, six hundred dollars on a night out for a concert, then the little bands, they don't have money to
11:17go see them.
11:18But so it just fucking sucks.
11:21Everyone, it's like everything nowadays.
11:23It's what the whole album is about.
11:24We're kicking in the door to the next time period.
11:27We're in a transitional period.
11:28We all know it sucks.
11:29We all know this was a scam.
11:31And everyone's right.
11:32Like that's everyone's just trying to find some joy and some community and doesn't want every motion they made to
11:39be monetized.
11:40So that's a big part of the tour is like, look, I can control the face value.
11:44I'll never fucking, you know, have a number on there that would make me embarrassed.
11:48It's crazy.
11:49And why would I want my shows to be for like only rich people?
11:52It's terrible.
11:53They're bad audience members.
11:55Well, they're all, well, I tend to find that people are generally at shows cool, but it should be for
12:02everyone.
12:02Um, but yeah, you know, that true bro thing is a perfect example.
12:06It's like you book something and you're just like, I want to do this.
12:08I want to do that.
12:09It'd be so fucking exciting and fun.
12:10And then because of all the powers that be, there's always someone there trying to spoil it, but we're trying
12:15to, uh, reverse the spoiling.
12:18Ali and I wanted to charge you all a thousand dollars to be here today, but Jack refused.
12:23So you're, you should thank this man for being here for free.
12:25Ali's, Ali's, uh, Ali and I said, let's go fund suckers, go fund me for a new van.
12:31Just stick it to them.
12:32Yeah.
12:32We, uh, wanted to hog more of your time and the band's about to come out here.
12:35Who's excited for bleachers?
12:38But first, but first, but first, we have questions, real questions from fake fans or are they fake questions from
12:44real fans?
12:45Long time caller, first time listener.
12:47First time listener.
12:48Here we go.
12:48Question number one, Ali, for Jack Antonoff, please.
12:51Uh, all right.
12:52So this is from Eddie.
12:53You are good at so many different things, but what is something that you suck at?
12:58So many things.
12:59I can do one thing.
13:02Well, you can play lots of different instruments and you can produce and you can sing and you can write.
13:07Yeah, but that's music.
13:07I can make music.
13:08I don't want to do anything else.
13:11Sorry, Eddie.
13:12Like, did you try and play pickleball and you suck at it?
13:15Can you make an omelet?
13:17If I had to.
13:18Right.
13:18If someone had a fucking gun to my head.
13:20I mean, I mostly just like eat fruit lying around the house and just keep going to the studio.
13:27Smart.
13:28Saving up for that van.
13:29Next question.
13:30All right.
13:30This is from Madison.
13:32Do you have any half written lyrics on your phone?
13:35Yep.
13:37You've given Taylor Swift so many hit songs.
13:40What's the best thing she's ever given you?
13:45Well, I haven't given her.
13:46I mean, the whole question is weird.
13:47Yes, it is.
13:48This is a terribly worded question.
13:50Yeah.
13:51Next question.
13:53I don't like the wording.
13:54Let's see.
13:55Time for one more.
13:56Make it a good one.
13:57Time for one more here.
13:58What are we running out the clock to?
13:59Hold on.
14:00Oh, what is something that you spend...
14:01Well, then you come out and play.
14:02What is something that you spend too much time thinking about?
14:06I mean, what direction do you want to go in?
14:08Like, funny?
14:08Sad?
14:09Dark.
14:09Dark?
14:10Yeah.
14:12Let's really bring the crowd down before they come out and play for them.
14:17Omelets?
14:20I'm trying to think if it's gonna...
14:26What'd you say?
14:27Quit?
14:28Famine.
14:28That's terrifying.
14:30This has turned into like an improv show.
14:32What was the other one?
14:33Steel Train?
14:34Did someone say Steel Train?
14:34Do it?
14:35Oh, well, I think a lot about...
14:39Okay.
14:40I can twist this hopeful.
14:41It's kind of in the album.
14:43I think a lot about the function of being a human being
14:45and the ways in which they're being stripped from us
14:48and trying to redirect into things that make me feel like I have a purpose.
14:55To me, that's music.
14:56To me, that's community.
14:57That's live music, recording, and focusing on a very small group of people
15:01instead of the whole fucking world.
15:02It's really a large part of what the album is about.
15:05And I think about how much dignity there is in just living and being a good person
15:10and making food and having a family and all that stuff.
15:13And the terror of that being a nice thing to have in your life.
15:19But I'm trying to rail against that.
15:22Do you feel me?
15:22All right.
15:22It's kind of like...
15:23I did depress you.
15:24Fuck.
15:25All right, I'm going to go.
15:25No, no, no.
15:26I think I was fairly positive.
15:27You finished.
15:27You want me to leave and come back, right?
15:28I'll be back in one second, guys.
15:30Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the great Jack Antonoff.
15:34Bleachers will be up here in moments.
15:36Stick around because that's why you're really here.
15:38And this continues after this.
15:41Who's ready for some live music?
15:45Please make some noise for Bleachers.
16:07I'm fucking back!
16:09How are you feeling?
16:19Yeah?
16:22How are you feeling?
16:23How are you feeling?
16:25Woo!
16:28Awh!
16:30Awh!
16:40Yeah!
16:42Awh!
16:44Awh!
16:45Awh!
16:45Awh!
16:45Awh!
16:50Get in my back seat, honey pie
16:56Always sadness like it's mine
17:00Cause it's just good
17:03To have what was missing
17:05Yeah, it's bad when it's good
17:08To always be missing
17:11But a girl like you
17:13Rip me out of my head
17:17Black tears on your cheek
17:19I want them in my bed
17:22I'll take you out of this city
17:24Honey, right into the shadow
17:27Cause I wanna find tomorrow
17:30Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
17:32With a girl like you
17:35My Chinatown, baby
17:38Sitting on the front seat
17:42Crying out for crazy
17:43I'll take you out of this city
17:46Honey, right into the shadow
17:49Cause I wanna find tomorrow
17:51Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
17:54With a baby
18:05Give me, give me, give me, give me
18:08That big red light
18:09Sing it!
18:12And take the sadness out of Saturday night
18:15Because honey, you're so good
18:18To have what was missing
18:21We were bad to be bad
18:23To always be missing
18:26But a girl like you
18:29Rip me out of my head
18:32Black tears on your cheek
18:35I want them in my bed
18:37I'll take you out of this city
18:40Honey, right into the shadow
18:42Cause I wanna find tomorrow
18:45Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
18:48With a girl like you
18:51Black Chinatown, baby
18:54Sitting on the front seat
18:56She's crying out for crazy
18:59I'll take you out of this city
19:01When you're right into the shadow
19:04Cause I wanna find tomorrow
19:06Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:10With a baby
19:11Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:14Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:29Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:29Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:30Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:32Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:32Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:32Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:32Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:33Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:35Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:38Yeah, I wanna find tomorrow
19:41Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
19:48Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
20:03Get it?
20:07Watch it then, boy!
20:35Here's the story
20:38I left the house years ago
20:41Here's the story about a kid in his shadow
20:44Who just didn't want to be lonely
20:48I started to fly and she got sick
20:54Pulled up and down and spun out real well
20:57Man, I just don't want to be lonely
21:00I pulled into a Wawa in Philly in 2000
21:07Blue magic coming from the speaker with the gas pump
21:10All Jersey kids, we never learned to pump gas
21:14So we sat there with the soundtrack
21:16Met them all in the Wayne firehouse glory days
21:20Packed the van and spun through being cool
21:23Man, those drive-thru years really went slow
21:26Wawa likes the movie if you was making it
21:29We packed the van
21:30When time was then
21:32That's the story about kids in their shadows
21:35We just didn't want to be lonely
21:41So glory to the ones who know the van
21:45And glory to the ones on the air
21:54I think some of us need to chip away what we don't understand
21:59Slowly combing over it
22:01Slowly getting under it
22:04Cause there's no getting over it
22:07So we drove back from the west with our new religion then
22:10One way tickets in heart and in hand
22:13Said fuck anything in my way, this is forever now
22:16And just like that, everything changed
22:23That's the thing about love in your shadow
22:32Years from there, I left the house
22:35Saw her standing on a rooftop
22:38She said I just don't wanna be lonely
22:42I said I just don't wanna be lonely
22:48I said I just don't wanna be lonely
22:54Just don't wanna be lonely
23:22How's everyone doing?
23:26Really?
23:27Yeah!
23:28Okay
23:30Prove it!
23:39L.A. Scream!
23:57On Friday night, killer queen

24:20Yeah, we'll play it like a heart attack
24:23So kiss me on little jeans
24:26Making a seat
24:27Making a long divide
24:28Ooh, and all the modern girls
24:32Shaking their ass tonight
24:34La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
24:36I'm on the wire
24:38Looking for a fight
24:41Ooh, and all the modern boys
24:45Come on, take me out tonight and scream
25:01Change my meds, change the flight
25:03Bodies on, bodies wild
25:05Body cam, only flame
25:08We'll play it like a heart attack for ya
25:11We'll play it like a heart attack
25:14I guess I'm New Jersey's finest New Yorker
25:16I'm a reliable porter, pop music holder
25:19Some guy playing for her
25:21But I'm wearing a heart attack
25:23You say your name, bitch
25:25Mikey, freedom, heart attack
25:27Kiss me on the cheek
25:30Making a long goodbye
25:32Blue and all the modern girls
25:36Shaking their ass tonight
25:38La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
25:42Oh, looking for a fight
25:44Blue and all the modern boys

29:15let's go
29:31well listen I've got something up on my mind
29:34and I think it's time that we talked
29:38there's too many interlopers that are showing up
29:43and some of them deserve second thoughts
29:46go dark for second
29:47duh
29:47when the past makes you want to die a little
29:51and dying makes you want to work
29:55well then how are we gonna find any room to have a life?
29:59I think it's time we lifted the curse
30:02well sha-la-la-la-la-la
30:09come on sir
30:11I love goodbye
30:19but a dirty wedding dress is a promise
30:23I knew it that night at the shore
30:27and I knew it that night on the rooftop
30:32I knew that she was from before
30:35so we got married that August
30:40and the neighbors all lost their minds
30:43we had to port up all the windows
30:46and shoot out the drones
30:47we took the sadness right from Saturday night
30:50let's go, let's go
30:52now only my people can see me
30:56only my people come in
31:01everybody outside talking like they know
31:04but no, they don't know
31:07they don't know
31:09what they think, what they saw, thought they heard
31:12what's the time, where they're at
31:14what's the word, heard the word
31:16no, they don't understand these bits
31:18and they'll never get why
31:20so glory to the ones who can't cry
31:40oh, well on tour with the band
31:42there's like a backstage party
31:44and this reporter makes her way across the room to me
31:47she asks me about my loss
31:50she laughs and calls a ken
31:52she asks if I will read her latest beat
31:56oh, Penny Lane
31:57they're edging all over me
32:00and a critic has moved up the block
32:04jokes she wants to publish in
32:06because I referenced him one time
32:08I'm like, what?
32:12well, sent me right to pieces for a big machine
32:16because a book deal can't even pay the rent
32:20book pack man, another artist
32:22he'll put a dollar in his pocket
32:24and he's like, I'm a working class man
32:28maybe that's why my mom stays down
32:30at the shore most of the time
32:33We're always meeting her there to breathe
32:36Oh yeah, it's nice to feel special
32:39It's nice to have a break
32:40And it's nice to get it right from that cynical beat
32:44I fuck up?
32:46You're great
32:47Cool, we've kind of like never played this really
32:49It's true
32:52I think my dirty winch was a promise
32:57And I'll never let him take my soul
33:01Oh, you're too good to spend any time in the mud
33:05Yes, you're the truth to behold
33:08So how can I talk to the ones counting the strings?
33:13Or the ones who like to bully the dogs?
33:17Or the ones waiting in line to get ripped off
33:19Just to turn around and rip someone else off?
33:21I'm thinking, baby, aren't you sick of it all?
33:25Well, only my people can see me
33:28Only my people can see me
33:33Compared to everybody outside
33:35Talking like they know
33:37But no, they don't know
33:40I'm saying no, they don't know
33:44I'm saying no, they don't know
33:48I'm saying no, they don't know
33:56Just close the door
33:58And one, two, three, make it stop
34:09Thank you
34:16Love you, Jack
34:18Love you, all of you
34:20Love you, all of you
34:22Love you, all of you
34:24Love you, all of you
34:24Love you, all of you
34:25Yeah
34:26Yeah
34:26Touch it, baby
34:27Hey
34:31Hot five through the artist
34:32Mary, fuck, fuck
34:34Hutch, hutch, hutch
34:35All three
34:36Once before and once after
34:42Can I get a little more?
34:44Let me do a real quick acoustic one
34:46So
34:47I'm going to do a few more songs
34:52And then we're all going to take Hutch out on a date
34:57This is a
34:59As we go into a
35:02New album
35:04This is how the whole thing started
35:05Just like this on an acoustic
35:16Well, I hear the voice of a preacher from the back room
35:20Calling my name and a follower just to find you
35:22Trace the faith to a broken down television
35:25Put on the weather
35:27And I train myself to give up on the past
35:31Cause I've frozen time between hearses and caskets
35:34Lost control when I panicked at the acid test
35:37I want to get better
35:39All my friends were getting high
35:41And chasing girls down parkway lines
35:44I was losing my mind
35:45And the love, the love, the love, the love that I gave
35:50Wasted on a nice face
35:51In a blaze of fear
35:53I put a helmet on a helmet
35:54Counting seconds through the night
35:56I got carried away
35:57That's why I'm standing on the overpass
36:00Screaming at myself
36:01Hey, I want to get better
36:03I didn't know I was lonely
36:06Until I saw your face
36:08But I want to get better
36:11Better, better, better
36:13I want to get better
36:14I didn't know I was broken
36:18Until I wanted to change
36:20But I want to get better
36:23Better, better, better
36:25I want to get better
36:37I want to get up to my room
36:39Where there's girls on the ceiling
36:40Cut out the pictures
36:41And chase the feeling
36:42Of an eighteen-year-old
36:44Who didn't know what loss was
36:46Now I'm a stranger
36:48Well, I'll miss the days
36:50Of a life still permanent
36:51More than the years
36:53Before I got carried away
36:55That's why I'm standing on the interstate
36:57Screaming at the cars
36:58Hey, I want to get better
37:00I didn't know I was lonely
37:03Until I saw your face
37:05But I want to get better
37:08Better, better, better
37:10I want to get better
37:12I didn't know I was broken
37:14Until I wanted to change
37:17But I want to get better
37:20Better, better, better
37:22I want to get better
37:24Cause I'm sleeping
37:25In the back of a taxi
37:27Like screaming out
37:28My bedroom window
37:31Even if it's gonna kill me
37:46Well, I woke up this morning
37:48Early before my family
37:49From this dream
37:51She was trying to show me
37:52How a life can move
37:54From the darkness
37:55She said to get better
37:58And so I put a bullet
37:59Where I should've put a helmet
38:01And I crashed my car
38:02Man, I want to get carried away
38:04That's why I'm standing on the overpass
38:07Screaming at myself
38:08Hey, I want to get better
38:10I didn't know I was lonely
38:13Until I saw your face
38:15But I want to get better
38:18Better, better, better
38:21I want to get better
38:22I didn't know I was broken
38:25Until I wanted to change
38:27But I want to get better
38:30Better, better, better
38:32I want to get better
38:51Thank you so much
38:57Song is called You and Forever
38:59And there's only a few times
39:01You've gotten to play it
39:09Third time
39:13Well, who could catch their breath
39:23At a crime scene
39:25Was born and raised
39:27To keep dark findings
39:28In my mind
39:37Ain't numbers blurring
39:39Streets are feeling different
39:40I'm losing track
39:42Of all of God's indifference
39:44Who gets by
39:51Well, walking with a ghost
39:53That shit was tearing me to shreds
39:56I had never known my name
39:57Until you spoke it from your chest
39:59Yes, the heavens opened up
40:01And pulled me in
40:02I stared and said
40:03Oh, and there's forever
40:10Darling, just you
40:12And forever
40:18Well, now it's just you
40:22Forever now
40:25Forever now
40:29Forever now
40:33Forever now
40:43The morning comes to build a few more gates
40:46The lights get low
40:49The path has become dangerous
40:50Who gets through?
40:56Oh, and there's only a few more gates
40:58So damn, the bastards call it out
41:00Everyone they stop from doing
41:02Just an inch of good
41:03They hate themselves
41:04Forever now
41:05It pays the hell
41:06Fuck everything that I've been told
41:08Cause I just thought the heavens opened up
41:11And forever now
41:17And forever
41:18Darling, just you
41:19And forever
41:22Well, now it's just you
41:26And forever now
42:00Forever now
42:22Now it's just you
42:25And forever
42:29And forever
42:32Now it's just you
42:33And forever
42:42And forever
