Trauma doesn’t just disappear—it reshapes a person’s mind, body, and emotional responses.

You can’t deeply hurt someone and expect them to remain the same version of themselves.

This is your reminder: your healing is valid, and your reactions were survival.

00:00You really have to be out of touch with reality to believe that you can inflict the worst pain
00:06psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and physically on a person or commit a deep betrayal
00:11and expect for things to go back to how they were before you hurt that person or for that person
00:18to
00:18be who they were before you hurt them. That's not how trauma works. Trauma isn't what was done to
00:25you. Trauma is what it did to your body. And when you harm somebody in that way, you reshape them.
00:33You rewire their brain. You off balance their nervous system and you don't get to determine
00:39how their body helps them survive that level of pain. You don't get to decide how their brain
00:46keeps them safe and hypervigilant. It is a very entitled approach to tell someone that you've
00:54hurt deeply that they have to get over the past or they have to move forward from it or who
01:01they've
01:02become. You just can't deal with. What do you mean? You can't deal with the consequences of your own
01:07actions. Is that what you're saying? Because you created that person.
