00:00for college basketball going to take a lot of center stages on this show over the next couple
00:04days which includes
00:05Arizona and BYU tonight
00:07a 9 o'clock start from BYU
00:09the favorites
00:10minus two and a half minus one and a half depending where he's shopping at
00:12Arizona on the road taking on BYU
00:15with a total of 165 and a half
00:17big time college basketball on a Monday tonight
00:20Joe what's that spread line
00:21big time and yeah listen it's interesting because
00:25it was minus two last night in the look ahead we did see some early
00:30BYU money as Arizona heads to Provo to take on Utah here but this
00:35is you know Arizona's first game even though they're number one in the country
00:39they're under
00:40undefeated right they're only one of three teams that remain undefeated this is real
00:45their first test against a top 40 Ken Palm team in forever
00:50Donnie they have not really been tested at all and haven't really had to
00:55play this level of competition it's never easy to go on the road this is a very good
01:00home court advantage for BYU who has likely
01:03well
01:05one of the top two draft picks on its on its team here in a freshman so
01:10I think this is going to be a great game but it wouldn't strike me at all
01:15if Arizona continues to be undefeated when it's all said and done but this
01:20will be the biggest test of Arizona's season so far let's go over to the
01:25ACC Louisville is going to take on Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium roughly favored by a touchdown
01:30minus seven and a half across the board in a total of 157 and a half to 156
01:35six and a half depending on where you're shopping at tonight Duke the heavy favorite at home
01:40what's that spread line tonight Joe monster game here at Cameron Indoor
01:45seven and a half is what we opened with last night we wake up this morning seven and a half
01:50we are seeing some money to the over the big story here is that Louisville
01:55gets back it's number one point guard Mikael Brown Jr he is now back and health
02:00healthy with the team they have missed him although they've had plenty of success
02:05without him so far sitting at 14 and five on the season Duke at 18
02:10seven and one this feels a little disrespectful but we've always said Donnie this
02:15was all going to come down to Louisville and Duke and the ACC right well this is
02:20going to be one heck of a test no excuses for Louisville they've got their five
02:25star stud freshman back this is going to be a bit of a war here I
02:30would be shocked if this line moves towards Duke before tip-off
02:35I think we're about to see some Louisville money hit the board today college basketball just a few days a week
02:40away from February and then the month of March and the man this begins to the final four in
02:45early April and by the time we get the early April drill we're already be talking about Major League Baseball season it goes fast
02:50fast we understand there's one more football game left to be played in the season it is the Super Bowl
02:55that's in two weeks the college basketball each and every night's delivering the goods which included over this weekend here
03:00how about Rick Pitino 900 wins as he beat his son Richard
03:05and Xavier 88 to 83 the Don of all Don
03:10continues to rack up statistics yeah and boy
03:15by the hair on his chinny chin chin too because to me that game was
03:20they were that was a sweat right until the end when they were able to pull it out but
03:25I guess it's fitting right dad gets the 900th win against junior
03:30and uh such is life uh but a good game I think the johnnies have finally
03:35figured it out here and could very well be making a uh run in the big east
03:40rick patino sent out a tweet there 900 is nice but this is more much more special
03:45specials with his grandchildren there you know none of the grandchildren repping a little st john's
03:50he's got come on now like I know your dad coaches grandpa's out there somebody's got to root for grandpa
03:55no I mean that's all right I mean how do you feel a poor poor junion
04:00there's like yeah dad just won now he took all my kids uh who are wearing xavier
04:05shirts and now he's he's doing the picture tour with him not uh not good
04:10there but uh kudos to one of the best ever to coach you know it's like father
04:14so
04:15stuff like that like you always want your son to succeed and do bigger things than you did I mean
04:19of course he's
04:20probably not going to do bigger things than rick patino did one of the best of all time but
04:23how's the competitive juice
04:25do you beat your son and feel good about it do you beat him be like that's just the biz
04:30business because it is personal like it really is personal yeah
04:35it's got it's always personal you'll never admit it you'll never admit it publicly
04:40but deep down inside he's got to be going you got to be kidding me so this is the reason why he shot
04:45probably shouldn't have left new mexico i would never have had to worry about seeing him but now i'm in xavier and
04:50yep sorry 900 uh you could not have drawn it up any better by the way
04:55certainly couldn't have here how about on saturday purdue top five team in the country taking on a close
05:00top 10 team in illinois 88 82 the 11th seeded a lion
05:05knock off purdue in their own building to improve the eight and one in the big 10
05:10one of the hardest places to play in all of college basketball donnie is uh is
05:15mackie arena there but it it wasn't a great spot for purdue don't forget they just spent
05:20the last 10 days out west they played four games in 10 days uh on the west
05:25west coast then they had to come home and of all teams they got to face it's you know one of
05:30the best shooting teams one of the more physical teams uh in illinois and it was a great
05:35great back and forth uh but that's a huge win for illinois
05:40going to mackie and get it done like that let's take a look tonight louisville and duke seven
05:45o'clock start in the acc cameron indoor stadium seven and a half are across the board as a favorite
05:50one fifty seven and a half as the total one of the interesting things about this game for louisville
05:55one of the best or should i say you know good three-point shooting team but the volume from three-point range the
06:00best in the country close to 50 other total shots come from three-point range you know it's 311
06:05that chasing you off the line it's duke this could be a match made in heaven for louisville who also joe
06:10getting some of that firepower back in their lineup last game to help out
06:15yeah miguel brown jr having the him back is huge this kid is a absolute
06:20stud and they've had to win without him the key to this game donnie is ken louisville
06:25make 11 or more threes if they do in this game they're 24
06:30and three when they make 11 or more threes under pat kelsey they live and they
06:35die by the three and duke not exactly a great three-point d
06:40defense here but don't forget louisville was crushing duke a few weeks ago
06:45uh in louisville and duke still figured out a way to come back and win that game
06:50that was one of those first 10 minute games like oh man duke just ran into a buzzsaw tonight and you woke up
06:54like what
06:55oh duke won that game easy because they handled him in the second half we'll see what happens tonight
06:58arizona on the road
07:00arizona on the road in elevation to take on byu arizona slight favorite here between two and a half and
07:05one and a half returning where he's shopping at 165 and a half total arizona number four in the country
07:10on offense and adjusted efficiency number three on defense in adjusted efficiency here something
07:15got to give tonight this is a coin flip joe what do we got it's hysterical because baltis
07:20teams are very similar in ways where they want to do the same thing they want to be up tempo
07:25and push pace on offense defensively they want to slow the other team down
07:30to an absolute crawl they both want to get rebounds that if somebody
07:35has got to give but quite honestly this is byu needs this game
07:40because outside of a win against villanova who have they beaten here
07:45that's the problem right now should be a good one both play great defense both have good
07:50offenses neither team fouls here should be a pretty clean game we'll see who goes down arizona
07:55for byu tonight we'll be back in the short break more interesting topics for our number
08:00two new week new monies like to say let's get some of those best bets out here here's bye bye bye
08:05you
08:10we got some great college not a huge card tonight but great games in college basketball
08:15about a seven game slate in the nba joe take us down the path where you want to go to cash in on some
08:20tickets well let's go to cameron indoor here where duke and
08:25louisville number three duke at home take it on number 16 louisville it's a re
08:30match of a game from a few weeks ago where louisville just absolutely
08:35absolutely boat raced him at home early got out to a huge double digit first
08:40half lead seemed like they might be running away with it and then duke in the second
08:45half absolutely smoked them uh behind cameron boozer and a
08:50unbelievable second half but that game was without michael brown jr
08:55a five-star absolute stud that louisville has been out with
09:00as their quarterback at the guard position he is back in this game we've got
09:05revenge and we've got a louisville team that has the great equalizer pat
09:10nobody shoots more threes than louisville and when they make a
09:15seven or more of them donny we gave you the number 24 and three
09:20i think they make i don't know if they make enough of them to win
09:23but i think they make more than enough
09:25of them to keep this thing close and cover this number tonight splash down city baby
09:30we'll see if they can knock down those three-point shots because they love to
09:32shoot them and duke will let you shoot them the only matter of fact is if you
09:35can make them
